PJ Cowan does it all! he’s an Army Veteran, Divorced Parent, Fitness Trainer, Fitness Competitor, Chef, and now Podcast host. In March when PJ launches his new podcast, “Raw and Real Vet Talk” you will get an insight into PJs world like never before.

You will also learn why fitness became such a huge part of his life and why he enjoys training others. Raw and Real Vet Talk will feature guests from the Entertainment Industry, the Fitness Industry, Divorced Dads, Ex Veterans, and many more. PJ is giving others a platform to share their stories as well of difficult times and overcoming them.

I love the name of your podcast as well as your mission. Who is the first guest, when does the show launch, and how can we view or listen?

PJ: I am excited to announce that Raw and Real Vet Talk Podcast will be launching on March 23rd, 2023. It will be available on Spotify and YouTube to begin.

The first guest will actually be me telling my story. I feel it is important for listeners to know why I started the podcast and that I have a story to tell. The entire podcast revolves around topics that not only myself but my guests can relate to.

What are going to be some of the most unique characteristics of the podcast that will keep audiences engaged?

PJ: I will be speaking to guests in the entertainment industry that you may have seen on television, on stage performing, and sports players, that have a story to tell. Instead of the typical questions about them being famous, we will be discussing the hard topics such as Mental Health, Sobriety, and Addiction. We will be speaking to those who served in the Military and how it affected them coming out into the civilian world. Of course, there will also be conversations with Divorced Dads, Army Friends, Family, and just those who want to get their stories out. There truly will be something for everyone.

What has the journey been like for you behind the scenes to bring the show altogether?

PJ: Truthfully, there are a lot of moving parts. While at moments it’s been hectic, it has been a learning experience that I am excited to show the outcome. The best part has been getting to know my guests.

What does this new podcast experience mean for you personally and professionally?

PJ: Personally it is a chance for me to tell my own story about being in the Military, getting a divorce, being a dad, dealing with my own mental health issues and so much more. It is a way to let others know they are not alone and that there are resources out there.

What are you most excited about for the very first episode?

PJ: I am looking forward to of course launching this podcast because it is something I have wanted to do for some time, and there just wasn’t a right time till now. So to introduce it to the world and to introduce myself to the world and truly give listeners an insight into what is to come is exciting.

How would you describe your style as a media professional?

PJ: I am all about keeping it Raw and Real. I like the idea of touching on those hard-to-have conversations that have a little debate.

Happy Black History Month! What last words would you like to leave for your fellow United States Army Veterans that made history and bravely served our country as you did?

PJ: I want to thank you for allowing me to serve by your sides in battle and now that it wasn’t all for nothing. There are more battles to be fought and more to be won. Our services aren’t done.

Thank you for your valued time interviewing with me today. I look forward to tuning in to the Raw and Real Vet Talk Podcast and following and supporting your career.
